- Information on how to apply and the details regarding the Rising Star Position (defined below) form part of the Terms and Conditions. Applying for the Rising Star Position is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
TREAD SOFTLY NEXT GENERATION RISING STAR WINEMAKER
- The Rising Star Position is offered by Fourth Wave Wine Partners Pty Limited (ABN 32 243 483 797) of Suite 1, Level 3/240-244 Pacific Highway, Charlestown NSW 2290 Australia (“Fourth Wave Wine”).
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Applications are open to individual that are:
(a) Australian residents aged 18 to 35 (inclusive);
(b) Female;
(c) Currently studying or have graduated with a bachelor or masters degree in a vintage/viticulture/winemaking focused course or have at least two (2) years of related industry work experience; and
(d) Be available for an online ‘think tank’ session in August 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed by Fourth Wave Wine at a later date): and
(e) Can travel between January to April 2026 in small blocks of 3-6 days to South Australia for activity related to the Rising Star Position (exact dates to be confirmed by Fourth Wave Wine at a later date).
(each referred to as an “Applicant”).
- Applicants must not be employees (and their immediate families) of the Fourth Wave Wine and agencies associated with this campaign are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

- Applications open on 01/06/2025 and close at 11:59pm AEST on 11/07/2025 (“Application Period”).
APPLICATION PROCESS
- To apply for the Rising Star Position, Applicants must complete the following steps during the Application Period:
(a) Visit www.treadsoftly.com/nextgeneration;
(b) Follow the prompts to the online application page;
(c) Input the requested details in the application including answers to the Submission Questions below; and
(d) Submit the fully completed application online.

Tread Softly
(XII) Describe the wine you would create if given the chance to launch your own product within the Tread Softly wine range?
(I) Who would your wine be aimed at, and why would those consumers love your wine?
(II) How would you create an unforgettable wine experience for Tread Softly, in terms of both the product itself and the way it is consumed. Does this experience differ from traditional wine consumption?
(III) If you were to create a wine-inspired product that reflects a specific culture or region, what region would you choose and how would you make it?
- Fourth Wave Wine will review all applications and select up to five (5) Applicants that it considers to be the best suited, to be shortlisted (“Shortlisted Applicants”). Shortlisted Applicants will be invited to participate in a ‘think tank’ styled meeting in July 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed by Fourth Wave Wine at a later date) and go through the Tread Softly range with Fourth Wave Wine and present your ideas. Following this meeting, Fourth Wave Wine will further assess the Shortlisted Applicants based on their answers to the Submission Questions, the strength of their wine idea, and their alignment with Fourth Wave Wine, and will select one (1) Shortlisted Applicant for this position with Tread Softly (“Successful Applicant”).
RISING STAR POSITION
- The Successful Applicant will be offered a one-year employment contract at Fourth Wave Wine to develop a new product that will feature in the Tread Softly range (“Rising Star Position”). The Rising Star Position includes mentoring from and access to women in the wine industry and participating in research and development activities throughout the contractual period.
- The Successful Applicant will be paid the remuneration set out in their employment contract with Fourth Wave Wine and will also receive international airfares and transfers to be arranged and booked by Fourth Wave Wine as necessary for any international and domestic travel required for the Rising Star Position. All other ancillary costs associated with the Rising Star Position are the responsibility of the Successful Applicant unless specified or agreed otherwise.
- As part of the Rising Star Position, the Successful Applicant must:
(a) Be available for a minimum of fifty (50) days and a maximum of sixty (60) days during the employment contract. The Successful Applicant will, on average, be required for one (1) day per week, however, may occasionally be required to work five (5) to seven (7) days straight. Fourth Wave Wine will confirm the exact dates that the Successful Applicant must be available for at a later date.
(b) Travel internationally to the following wine fairs to showcase the newly developed product under the Rising Star Program:
(i) Wine Paris, France (February); and
(ii) ProWein, Germany (March).
(c) Meet with key customers both locally in Australia and in international markets.
(d) Be available for media interviews, photoshoots and other ad hoc requirements as requested by Fourth Wave Wine during their Rising Star. Fourth Wave Wine will provide the Successful Applicant at least five (5) days’ notice for any event requiring their participation.
- Acceptance of the Rising Star Position will be subject to the Successful Applicant executing an employment contract in the form set out by Fourth Wave in its absolute discretion.
- Applicants consent to Fourth Wave Wine using their name, likeness, image and/or voice in the event they are a Successful Applicant (including photograph, film and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this campaign (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by us. The Successful Application must assist the Tread Softly marketing team in providing content during the employment contract, including, but not limited to, videos, photos, Instagram live takeovers and TikTok content development.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Applicants agree that they are fully responsible for any materials they submit via the campaign including but not limited to comments, recordings and images (“Content”). Fourth Wave Wine shall not be liable in any way for such Content to the full extent permitted by law. Fourth Wave Wine may remove or decline to publish any Content without notice for any reason whatsoever. Applicants warrant and agree that:
(a) they will not submit any Content that is unlawful or fraudulent, or that Fourth Wave Wine may deem in breach of any intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights, defamatory, obscene, derogatory, pornographic, sexually inappropriate, violent, abusive, harassing, threatening, objectionable with respect to race, religion, origin or gender, not suitable for children aged under 15, or otherwise unsuitable for publication;
(b) their Content shall not contain viruses or cause injury or harm to any person or entity;
(c) they will obtain prior consent from any person or from the owner(s) of any property that appears in their Content;
(d) they will obtain full prior consent from any person who has jointly created or has any rights in the Content to the uses contemplated by these Terms and Conditions, and the Content does not infringe the rights of any third party;
(e) they consent to any use of the Content which may otherwise infringe the Content creator’s/creators’ moral rights pursuant to the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth) and warrant that they have the full authority to grant these rights; and
(f) they will comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation, those governing copyright, content, defamation, privacy, publicity and the access or use of others’ computer or communication systems.
Without limiting any other terms herein, the Applicant agrees to indemnify Fourth Wave Wine for any breach of the above terms.
- As a condition of applying for the Rising Star Position, each Applicant licenses and grants Fourth Wave Wine, its affiliates and sub-licensees a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish and display their application (which shall include Content) for any purpose, including but not limited to future promotional, marketing or publicity purposes, in any media, without compensation, restriction on use, attribution or liability.
- Tread Softly collects personal information on behalf of Fourth Wave Wine (“PI“) in order to conduct the campaign and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors and service providers. Applying for the campaign is conditional on providing this PI. Fourth Wave Wine and Tread Softly will also use and handle PI as set out in their Privacy Policies which can be viewed at https://www.fourthwavewine.com.au/pslink.cfm?refer=privacy&pageReload=yes (for Fourth Wave Wine) and https://www.treadsoftly.com/privacy-policy-fourth-wave-wine/ (for Tread Softly). In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Fourth Wave Wine and Tread Softly’s Privacy Policies, Fourth Wave Wine and Tread Softly may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the applicant. The Privacy Policies also contain information about how applicants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how applicants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of Fourth Wave Wine. Unless otherwise indicated by Fourth Wave Wine or Tread Softly, the Fourth Wave Wine and Tread Softly may disclose PI to entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see their Privacy Policies), and cannot guarantee that any overseas recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By submitting an application, Applicants consent to the overseas transfer on these terms as permitted by the Australian Privacy Principles and agree that the Fourth Wave Wine and Tread Softly are not liable in this regard.
LIABILITY
- Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify any applicable statutory consumer guarantees granted by applicable consumer protection laws (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, we (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the application process for the Rising Star Position.
GENERAL
- Any cost associated with accessing the campaign’s website is the applicant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.
- Fourth Wave reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of applications and Applicants (including an Applicant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any Applicant who it has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions or tampered with the application process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at our discretion. Failure by Fourth Wave Wine to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. Fourth Wave’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
- If the application process is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Fourth Wave Wine, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorized intervention or fraud, Fourth Wave reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Applicant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the application process or withdraw the Rising Star Position, as appropriate.
- Fourth Wave Wine’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
